Amy Hanson worked in corporate America, but was ready for a change. Born and raised on a ranch outside of Valentine, NE, her family was thinking of returning to their roots. Part of that move would have involved purchasing an existing boutique in Valentine. Amy knew that doing something in fashion and helping people feel great in what they were wearing was her dream.

When their plans to move changed, Amy decided she wanted to open her own boutique. brā~tā opened at their current location, 1705 Washington in May 2012. She chose the name from a combination of her two children’s names, Braden and Taylor.

Amy’s love for fashion is evident when you walk in the door. She carries affordable, stylish brands that you will not find everywhere else. With new shipments arriving daily there is always something new. In addition to clothes, Amy also carries shoes, boots and jewelry. For those sports fans you can also find a variety of Blair Bears and Nebraska Husker wear.

brā~tā has two fashion shows a year, one in the Spring and the other in the Fall. This is a great way to see the newest fashion trends for the season. When in doubt, Amy is happy to assist in putting together the perfect combos for her customers. Gift certificates are also available.
